STAT 363 Introduction to Survey Sampling
(3:3:0) Prerequisite: A 200-level
course in probability and statistics. Introduction to the design and
analysis of sample surveys. Sample designs covered include simple random
sampling, systematic sampling, stratified, cluster, multi-stage sampling.
Analytical methods include sample size determination, ratio and regression
estimation, imputation of missing data nonsampling error adjustment.
Applications are to the decision, information, social sciences and
engineering. Class project involves an actual survey.
