
Robert Sims
Dr. Robert Sims earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Texas
A & M University in 1970. His M.S. in Logistics was earned with
distinction from the Air Force Institute of Technology at
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Dr. Sims' B.S. was earned
at Northwestern University. Dr. Sims had a distinguished career as
an Air Force office finishing his career as Chief of the Operations
Research and Economic Analysis Office at the Defense Logistics Agency.
Dr. Sims retired as a Colonel. He has served as an adjunct faculty
member at a number of institutions including the University of Southern
California, the University of California at Los Angeles, Wright State
University, the Air Force Institute of Technology, and, of course,
George Mason University. He is responsible for a large number of
initiatives within the Air Force involving statistics, logistics,
economics and operations research. He was awarded the DoD's Superior
Service Medal and was twice awarded the Air Force's Meritorious Service
Medal.
