Teachers or individual students can do the activities in this workshop if they have two things:
1. An 8 piece subset from the Dr. Supers Triangles set consisting of 1 large, 3 medium, and 4 small triangles. The large and small triangles are the same color, the medium triangles are of a different color.
[Note: For a limited time, if you do not have the 8 piece subset, a single set can be obtained at cost, if you are a classroom teacher or other education professional. Actual sets of Dr. Supers Triangles may be ordered from Creative Publications (phone: 1-800-357-MATH.)]
2. Two puzzle sheets titled, Dr. Supers Triangles Puzzles and Fitz D Pieces.
[Note: You may be able to print the activity sheets, at the correct scale for use with the puzzle pieces, depending on your PC, software and screen resolution. If you can not, for a limited period of time you can obtain a copy free.
To present the ideas from the workshop to groups of students in a classroom or teachers in a professional development setting, you will need additional 8 piece subsets of the Dr. Supers Triangles set. One such set will make a total of eight (8) of these 8 piece subsets. Dr. Supers Triangles and several resource books -- Algebra Explorations, Fraction Explorations, and Symmetry Explorations -- are available from Creative Publications (phone: 1-800-357-MATH).
